USDA has been announcing that they were working on changes to their rural loan eligibility for a few years now. The results of their studies, as well as income limits, have been released and in rural parts of Maryland it is working in home buyers' favor! In most eligible areas of Prince George's, Anne Arundel, Charles, and Calvert Counties the maximum household income for a family of 1-4 has been raised to $108,550. That means if you meet USDA's guidelines for 100% financing, you can make up to $108,550 to purchase with no downpayment in those eligible areas.

Keep in mind that this is for rural areas, so the only qualifying parts of Prince George's County are Accokeek and Bryan's Road, and below Route 4 to the West of Rt. 301 (along the river). All of Calvert is included. All of Charles County except for Waldorf and White Plains are included. Most of Southern Anne Arundel county below Rt. 214/Central Avenue is available.
